Full Time Care

Since this is the first post, I guess I should do all that ‘who I am’ stuff, to try to put it all into perspective and so on. Righto. My name is Spike (no, it’s not, but then I’m not seriously going to tell you my real name, am I?) and I’m just under the 40 barrier in age. I still have hair. Most of it isn’t even grey yet, though it seems to want to go that way.

I’m a geek, an online gamer and I try to write stuff too. So why the title of this blog? Well, that’s because a very large part of my life goes into looking after my partner. She’s a lovely lady, beautiful, very smart and funny, but she has some problems. Mental illness, more precisely anxiety disorder and that kind of stuff. She’s also borderline alcoholic thanks to those same problems. So I look after her.

And there you have it - the bare basics of who I am. Hopefully, more will become clear with time…
